Hugies Group

Forced Labor

Hugies Group Inc will not conduct business with any factory that uses forced labor, including prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor or other forms of forced labor. The factory will be responsible for agency recruitment commissions for foreign workers and will not require any worker to reimburse fees or remain in employment of any period of time against her or his will.

Child Labor

Hugies Group Inc will only work with manufacturers who have formulated the recruitment procedure and stipulated that no employee will be under the age of 16 (or younger than the age for completing compulsory education in the country of manufacturer where such age is higher than 16).

Harassment and Abuse

Hugies Group Inc partners will treat every employee with respect and dignity. No employee will be subject to physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse.

Nondiscrimination

Hugies Group Inc will not pursue business relationships with partners who discriminate in employment including hiring, salary, benefits, promotion, discipline, termination, or retirement on the basis of gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, marital or maternity status, work or personal affiliations, political opinion or social or ethnic origin or any other status protected by country law.

Freedom of Association

Hugies Group Inc business partners will respect workers right to freedom of association and collective bargaining.

Wages and Benefits

Hugies Group Inc business partners must meet legal requirements for wages and benefits within the country they are conducting business, or local industry standards, whichever is higher.

Hours to Work/ Overtime

Hugies Group Inc partner's employees do not work in excess of 60 hours per week, or the regular and overtime hours allowed by the laws of the manufacturing country, whichever is less. Employees must be compensated appropriately according to law for overtime and must be entitled to one day off for every seven - day period.

Health and Safety

Hugies Group Inc will use vendor and manufacturing partners that provide their workers with a safe and healthy work environment, which is in compliance with country and local health and safety laws and regulations, as well as a safe and healthy living place if one is provided.

Environment 

Hugies Group Inc contractors and vendors must comply with all applicable environment laws and regulations. Factories are encouraged to have an environmental management system (EMS) or an environmental management plan in place and reduce the environmental impacts of their operations.

Subcontracting

Hugies Group Inc suppliers will not work with subcontractors for Hugies Group Inc products without written authorization from Hugies Group Inc. Subcontractor has to agree to comply with the Hugies Group Inc requirements.

Legal Requirements

As a condition of doing business with Hugies Inc, each and every factory must comply with this Code of Conduct.

Hugies Group Inc will work with designated agents and third parties to engage in announced and unannounced monitoring activities to ensure compliance, including confidential employee interviews.

Hugies Group Inc reserves the right to take whatever actions are necessary to protect its interests including terminating its business relationship with any supplier that does not respect the Code or comply with its legal obligations.
